EUROPEANS: UNITE! (2017-01-31)

The policies of anger and wrath from Washington D.C. are bound to be a direct and existential challenge to the European Union. I attach a most interesting article in "Social Europe" from form Joschka Fisher. What is at stake is not only American leadership or protection, but the very foundation of post-war Western cooperation and European Unification. Populism, as we call it today, means politics of anger and wrath. It is much more widespread and popular than we are willing to recognize. It has now become official policy in Washington D.C., in London with hard Brexit, in Hungary and in Poland. European unification can survive only when we are prepared to revive and restore the original inspiration of Reconciliation-Solidarity-and-Unity.
