European Council President Donald Tusk and Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker are correct in their comment on todays no vote in the House of Commons. Only British political leaders are in a position to get Britain out of its self-made political chaos; the problem being that there aren't any political leaders available on our off shore European Island!
With no majority for anything sensible, Her Majesty's Government has two obvious truly sensible options to choose FROM:
1. ACCEPT THE REUNIFICATION OF NORTHERN IRELAND WITH THE IRISH REPUBLIC! And the Brexit Treaty can be accepted.
OR
2. FOLLOW THE SENSIBLE ADVICE OF THE EUROPEAN COURT OF JUSTICE, and write the President of the European Council that after all you want to remain a member.
I suggest option one as the most sensible one in the twenty first century. It would be wise for Britain to end the last vestiges of its colonialism in Ireland, Gibraltar and Falkland Islands. The time that Britain ruled the waves is long past.
