The shocking suggestion from U.S. Secretary of State Kerr, that negotiations with the Assad Regime are necessary (see attachment) are proof of moral and political weakness in Washington. What is there to negotiate with a regime that has waged war against its own people for more than four years? Resulting in more than 220.000 casualties, half its population displaced inside the country or as refugees abroad, unknown numbers of tortured and imprisoned people, large parts of its cities destroyed and large chunks of territory occupied by a band of terrorists, who claim to have established an Islamic state.
The impotence of the "international community" has a lot to do with American failing leadership.
